Who I Am
A writer. An electronic enthusiast. A web content creator. A designer. A legend (Yes, that last one was a joke).
This simple site is designed to be a central showcase for all of my work. You can find links and information regarding my current, and past, writing jobs and projects.

What I Do
I function as both an avid writer and web content designer. I currently work for several prominent technology sites writing product reports and informative articles. My current writing positions are spread between varying genres of interest.
Some of my most recent job assignments include projects for Productwiki, The Techlabs, WPMods, Uberoid and Derezzed.

My Writing Origins
When I was younger I loved to tell stories. Of course because I was so little people didn’t like the idea that I told stories; and I often found myself in trouble. Eventually I grew out of the habit of telling fictional tales to everyone around me and began writing them down. Thus, my inner artiste was born!
I have not stopped writing since, and I continue to write daily. I love to write anything and everything; For the most part it serves as an escape from the real world at times.
My enthusiastic interest in writing has been with me my entire life. I have been writing for as long as I could hold a pencil between my fingers, and I enjoy writing in any genre that exists. Because I am still youthful, I have identified ways to relate to younger target audiences while maintaining a very mature attitude. My writing skills are excellent, and surpass even some of the most capable of authors out there today. Of course I’m boasting, but I have every right! 
Novela Fever
I have a long list of novels planned, and I’m currently working to finish my first. If there are any interested agents out there shoot me an e-mail by all means!
My Vision
I have a very ambitious vision that I will someday change the face of gaming journalism.
I believe that gaming journalism is currently in a terrible state of disarray. In fact, in the real world most defined journalists would likely sneer and point at game writers for this very reason.
The problem with modern game journalism is that it’s very fragmented as far as general presentation; many game sites have varying ways of reporting game news and more importantly have varying ways which they cover game reviews. The biggest problem lies in many of the implemented game review rating systems.
I hope to change game journalism and I also hope to provide a trustworthy environment for game enthusiasts that doesn’t cram biased opinions down people’s throats.

The Tech Labs
I began work with the The Tech Labs community in October, 2010. Currently, I still produce content for the site on a daily basis.

My job as a news writer for the Tech Labs is to update the community on recent gadget and technology news by simply posting on the official site. My work is reviewed by a supervising editor before being published.
Productwiki
I began writing for PW in 08′ and no longer work for the company.

My job as a product review writer entails researching each product individually and posting a new report with detailed information and specifications. Because the site is designed in an online Wiki style (contributions are made by the community as a whole), my reports are required to be opinion free and remain unbiased. I work alongside a large group of additional writer’s to keep the sites product listings up to date and informative.
Bright Hub
I began writing for Bright Hub in September, 2008.

My job as a writer for Bright Hub involves the creation of articles, of my choosing and particular tastes, in varying areas of interest. I am required to submit ideas for articles first, which are either approved or denied by managing editors. Once my topic is approved, I must then write the article, while doing my own research on the topic. I am also required to optimize search engine information and SEO data before submission. After the article is finished, it must then be reviewed a final time before it is posted live.
Uberoid
I began work with the Uberoid community in October, 2010.

My job as a tech writer for Uberoid is to update the community on recent gadget and techie news by simply posting on the official site. Although my work is moderated I am allowed total creative control.
Travelwires
I worked with the Travelwires community in April, 2011 and I no longer work for the company.

My job as an article writer for Travelwires is to educate hoteliers and business managers on Social Media marketing. My work is reviewed by a supervising editor before being published.

I began work with the WordPress Mod community in February, 2011.

I worked for the Poker Strategy blog in 2009, I no longer work for the company.

My job for the Poker Strategy blog was simple; post blogs weekly in excess of 1000 total words.
DEREZZED
I began producing content for the website in 2012, and I still regularly produce content.

My job for Derezzed is to create completely unbiased reviews that work to describe the most important aspects of the related game or title. I also occasionally edit work produced by other members or guest writers.

After the passing of my uncle I created a tribute website for my family to help memorialize him.

I personally designed all photos and web content as well as the text and information. I created the entire web-page.
Briley Kenney: A Professional Profile and Work Portfolio
I have created this website to display my talent, as well as all the inclusive content. I created the entire web-page by myself, which means that I personally created all the photos, wrote all the text and information and programmed the required html and css code.

Derezzed | Unbiased Game Reviews
I hate the game review industry, and personally I think it severely harms the face of modern journalism as it currently operates. To further clarify, game reviews are seriously biased and usually don’t take into account the true worth of a game- video games are merely judged by a single journalist’s opinion (which often reflects in the writing). Most game review sites also use a vague or untrustworthy rating system to rate a game title or product.
I aim to change the face of game journalism with the introduction of “Derezzed”. It’s designed to provide unbiased game reviews from writers like me, while the community collectively votes and decides a game’s worth.
